We wanted to update you all on our plans during this time. We will not be completely reopening to the public until we can provide PPE for all of our staff and volunteers to protect their health and the health of the visiting public. We anticipate that being the case on approximately June 1st. After that point, we’ll open our doors to the public once again. However, we will still require that visitors wear masks when visiting the shelter. We will continue to thoroughly clean and sanitize our facility every day, all day, as we have been. We will continue to update you all as we progress through the reopening process. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during this trying time.
Sincerely,
Janine Ceja

Hello. We are interested in a strong, playful dog, preferably male but the right female would work too. We need a playmate for our mastiff puppy who is six months old. We also have an 11 yr old Pom. We’ve always been a three dog family.
Are you doing any adoptions at all or waiting until possibly June?
Thanks for your time and the work that you do. Debra and jim Laber
Hi Debra, we are doing adoptions by appointment at this time. If you could please email your question to info@skagithumane.org, the Executive Director will reach out to you and try to help you find a suitable candidate. Thanks so much!
I was notified that you just acquired a small dog, Gordo who was surrendered due to his mom’s inability to find housing! I am feeling so sad for this cute dog & am sure this poor baby is traumatized from his separation. I would love to meet him as soon as possible for his sake. We live on Camano Island & could meet him at your convenience! Thank you for being there for him as I am sure he truly appreciates it too! You are his ‘hero!’I look forward to hearing from you in hopes we can meet Gordo!??
Hi Donna, thank you for inquiring about Gordo. Fortunately, we had a TON of interest in him as soon as we posted his availability and have had to cut off applications at this time due to the overwhelming interest. If none of those applicants work out, however, I will definitely reach out to you so you can meet him. Thanks again!
So a few months back I left my long haired orange an white cat with my sister while I was away with business. At some point he had gotten out and am curious if you guys possibly have him
