Our Mission:

To provide shelter and care for the abandoned, abused, or unwanted animals; to treat the animals with dignity and respect; to place these animals into loving and caring homes; to create education programs that increase the awareness of humane treatment and the necessity to spay and neuter of all animals. Adopt a Pet

We have new pets arriving daily! Please feel free to stop in and find your new fur baby that is anxiously awaiting to find a new home. Adoptions for a dog or cat includes microchip identification, spay/neuter, and much more.

Lost & Found

If you have custody of a found animal, you can bring it the Humane Society of Skagit Valley during business hours. Our open-admission policy is sometimes limited by available space so please call ahead first. If you have lost or found a pet, submit a report and we will do our best to help facilitate a reunion.

Barn Buddies

HSSV’s Barn Buddy Program was established to find feline-friendly homes for cats who, for various reasons, would not do well as indoor only companion pets and are considered unadoptable through our standard adoption process.

In Memorial

The loss of a loved one is a difficult and often heartbreaking time for those left behind. Here, we remember and pay tribute to those we have lost, the grief their loss brings, and the endearing memories that carry us through the pain.

You ask, we answer

We work hard to be responsive to our community’s needs as well as the needs of the animals we serve.

Our goal at HSSV is to match our pets with the absolute best fit for them. To that end, we have developed a process to our adoption procedures. Following this process will greatly increase your chances for success! Click Here for more details.
