Join us in supporting the Humane Society of Skagit Valley at our annual FUNdraiser for the whole family! The Deputy Anne Jackson Memorial Walkathon is a beloved community event that raises funds to support our mission at HSSV. Anne Jackson, a dedicated friend and advocate for HSSV, tragically lost her life in the line of duty in 2008. Learn more about her story here.
The Memorial Walk, held in Anne Jackson’s honor each year, is a wonderful way to show your support for pets in need while remembering a fallen hero who championed animals.
(Quick note: although employees may participate in this event, they will not be eligible for prizes. Their standings will be removed from the final results when awarding winners.)
One entry per form, please. If you have questions or issues with the form or would like to process multiple registrations in one transaction, let us know! Just email our events team at: events@skagithumane.org
The Memorial Walk takes place at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 23 at the Port of Skagit Walking Trails across from the Museum of Flight:
15053 Crosswind, Dr, Burlington, WA 98233
We’ll have first, second, and third-place prizes for those who collect the most pledges in the walkathon. The more pledges you collect, the better your chances of winning!
Once you’ve registered, you will be able to collect pledges via your personal website, provided for free by HSSV. You’ll be directed to a link once your registration is complete where you can set up your own page and begin to collect pledges. It’s simple to set up and once you’re done, you’ll be able to share your page with family and friends to maximize your fundraising! You can see an example of a pledge page here. We’re here to help if you need it. Contact us at: events@skagithumane.org
All funds collected through this and other fundraisers conducted by HSSV go directly towards supporting our many programs. Crucial programs such as our low-income petfood bank, adoption services, pet behavioral counseling, animal-assisted therapy, low-income spay & neuter clinic, lost & found services, animal rescue, and much, much more. Be a hero for animals in need by supporting HSSV fundraisers today. Thanks so much for your support!
