Canine Good Citizen program. The American Kennel Club's CGC program allows dogs to earn a title for safe, mannerly behavior and basic obedience skills. Earning recognition for good citizenship can be a first step in dog training and can lay a foundation for other events like agility, therapy, or tracking.
